The Fairview-Clifton German Language School Playground Mural was a vibrant community-driven project, completed as part of Crossroads Church's annual Go Local event in May 2019. Over the course of 12 hours, a team of 10 volunteers came together to transform the school’s playground into a colorful and engaging space for students.

The mural features a freehand-painted globe as its centerpiece, symbolizing connection and exploration. In a playful tribute to the school’s German heritage and its Cincinnati roots, additional elements include a flying pig soaring over Cincinnati and a salted pretzel placed over Germany. These details celebrate both local pride and cultural appreciation.

The result was a dynamic and joyful mural, created through collaboration and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on the school and its community. The project not only revitalized the playground but also fostered a sense of unity and pride among all those involved.
