Objective: Elevate the visual identity of "Looking Up with Dean Regas" on Cincinnati Public Radio NPR by crafting a captivating brandmark & thumbnail. Drawing inspiration from NPR's podcast aesthetics, the result is a visually striking design that not only meets but enhances the high standards set by the network. This project showcases my ability to infuse energy into branding while aligning seamlessly with established visual frameworks, leaving a lasting impression on audiences exploring the cosmos through fun, quick-paced conversations.

CONCEPT #1 - “A Peek Through the Telescope”
This concept features Dean looking through a telescope, his eye focused intently on the stars above. In the background, the night sky is depicted, with stars and planets scattered across the backdrop. The podcast title, "Looking Up," is prominently displayed among the stars, written in a modern, bold font. Dean in the foreground could be depicted in silhouette or darker colors/brightness, emphasizing his connection to the vast expanse of space above.
Overall, the logo conveys a sense of wonder and curiosity about the mysteries of the universe, and invites listeners to join the journey of exploration and discovery that is "Looking Up."
CONCEPT #2 - “Stargazing”
This concept features Dean laying on a hillside, his gaze directed upward towards the night sky. Dean is depicted in a relaxed pose, his arm extended upward and pointing towards the stars. The background a vision of the night with stars clearly visible. A few shooting stars streak across the sky, adding a sense of movement and dynamism to the scene. The podcast title, "Looking Up," is prominently displayed among the stars, composed of connected stars, forming a pattern & font that resembles a constellation.
This unique design draws attention to the podcast's theme of exploring the wonders of the universe and hints at the sense of mystery and awe inspired by the night sky.
CONCEPT #3 - “Ready for Takeoff”

CONCEPT #4 - “In the Field... Literally”

One might imagine they are hearing the "2001: A Space Odyssey" Theme song when they look at this logo concept. Overall, the logo conveys a sense of awe and wonder, inviting listeners to join the journey of discovery that is "Looking Up."
