evolve
About: Designed for physical therapy professionals and their patients, ages 7 to 13. It allows for better at-home exercise engagement in a fun and encouraging way... and in a language that kids understand!
The Problem: On average, 91% of kids fail to complete their at-home exercises. Visual materials given to kids are hard to understand, outdated, and un-engaging.
That’s why I Created EVOLVE: With customizable characters, easy kid-friendly navigation, and medals to earn for your hard work, EVOLVE makes completing at-home exercise programs (HEPs) a breeze!

personal experience & inspiration
first attempt: 2018
I was happy to have executed my initial goal and idea, but I had a bigger vision. I knew EVOLVE had real potential to help others.
Below you will find a few pieces of that first version of EVOLVE.
new research in 2020
“If you could very clearly show the movement that is desired, that would help [a patient].”
— Amanda Vinson « 20 years experience as Children’s Physical Therapist
“Make it relatable.” “There is not one answer, physical therapy needs to be individualized.”
— Requested Anonymity
“Patients need help making the connection between the activities they’re doing and the goals they want to achieve.”

final branding
One truth of physical therapy is that while you go through it you will grow, learn, and EVOLVE – that’s where the name comes from.
Another truth, is that your growth is not linear! There will be ups and downs, but ultimately because you are trying and putting in
the hard work you end up at a stronger and better place. That’s why the EVOLVE brand mark ends on a higher ‘E’ than it starts!
